Family Fun at Golden Sands
Golden Sands, Bulgaria is the perfect holiday venue for families. From the tiniest toddler to the
toughest teenager, kids will love the features and attractions at this beautiful resort. Golden Sands is
designed to be attractive to the entire family, so if you want to bring Grandad and Grandma along too,
they will enjoy themselves just as much as the rest of the group. The resort is a little smaller and less
boisterous than its southern counterpart, Sunny Beach. There is still plenty of nightlife, but there is a
more organized and calm atmosphere which many families - especially with young children - will prefer.
Ice cream, lollipops and marshmallow - terrible for the teeth, but kids love them. Along the promenade at
Golden Sands, and in particular from the centre of the resort to the southern end, there are hundreds of
stalls offering all sorts of delights for young and old. And if you are determined that the kids won't eat
sweets, don't despair, fresh fruits and nuts are also on sale. Have a mini shopping spree and pick up some
new jewellery, clothing and handbags, as well as beach toys for the children. Try your hand at archery or
shooting while the kids have their hair braided or their faces painted. And as a memento of your visit, why
not dress the family up in Victorian clothes and have a photo taken. What a wonderful thing to put on your
wall when you get home!
Carousels, Car Tracks and Crazy Golf
Younger kids at Golden Sands will love the carousels and inflatables that are dotted throughout the resort.
Whilst their older siblings try out their driving skills on the go kart track, the younger ones can drive
their own electric cars around in the children's car track. Located between the Hotel Admiral and the Hotel
Zlatna Kotva, the cart track is safe for even the smallest of toddlers. Right next door to the car track is
"The Rocks on the Beach" swimming pool with novelty water features. The kids will be fascinated by the décor
and are bound to want to spend some time splashing around here. Don't worry, there is a pool bar, so you can
have a beer or a glass of wine - or just a cup of tea - whilst you watch them play.
Kids generally don't like to walk far. So why not take the mini train from the centre of the resort to the
yacht port. The train makes several stops along the way - so if the kids spot somewhere they really need to
go - you can all climb off at the next stop. The yacht port is the end of the line, and this is where you
will find the crazy golf course. No holiday can be complete without a family game of crazy golf. But watch
out that grandad doesn't cheat!
Aqua Park at Golden Sands
The Aquapolis Aqua Park in Golden Sands is situated on the edge of the park land, close to the main resort
entrance and next to the Amphora Palace Hotel and Apartments. The Aqua Park has Egyptian theme. Of course,
ice cream and refreshments are available so the kids won't complain about empty stomachs.

Baby Bungees and a Ferris Wheel at Golden Sands
Bulgarian resorts are very fond of bungee bouncers. There are huge ones for teenagers and young adults and there
are smaller ones for younger children. Like huge versions of the "baby bouncers" that you probably bought to
strengthen your baby's muscles, these strange-looking contraptions are extremely safe and are always controlled
and supervised by adults. Affectionately known as "Baby Bungees" they are designed for school-age children and
the straps can be adjusted to fit their height and weight.
As you walk down to the beach at Golden Sands, two things will attract your attention immediately. One is the
miniature version of the "Eiffel Tower" (the Cocktail Bar Paris) and the other is the huge Ferris Wheel. If
neither you nor your kids suffer from vertigo, the Ferris Wheel will give you a fantastic view of the resort.
If that's a bit too scary for you, take a tip from us and have a coffee on the terrace of the cocktail bar instead.
The view might not be quite so spectacular, but it's really charming.
