When to Go to Golden Sands
The Black Sea coast of Bulgaria has a wonderful climate. During the months of July and August it can
get very hot, so if you can't stand the heat you might prefer to go in late Spring or early August.
The summer season at Golden Sands starts in the middle of May. Although
some of the hotels are open before then, most of the restaurants and entertainment facilities are closed during
the winter. Early in May you will find that the restaurants are dusting off the tables and chairs and touching
up the paintwork, ready for the season to begin. Package tours and all-inclusive holidays are generally offered between May
and the end of October. Outside of those months you can still visit Golden Sands by taking a
scheduled flight and
booking your own accommodation.
When to Book Your Holiday to Golden Sands
People often ask, is it best to book a summer holiday early or to wait and get a last-minute "bargain". It's
certainly true that in the 90's there were plenty of superb late deals and you could save a lot of money by
waiting until the last moment. It's not so easy any more. These days tour operators plan their business very
carefully to ensure that they don't have empty seats on their aircraft or empty rooms in the hotel. Yes, it is
still possible to get a late deal, but if you wait too long you will find there is little choice of accommodation.
Your holiday is precious time - can you really afford to take the chance? Our advice is book as early as you can
to get the best choice of flights and accommodation.
